Condé + Beveridge

Carole Condé and Karl Beveridge have collaborated with various trade unions and community organizations in the production of their staged photographic work over the past 30 years.

Art is Political (1975) A nine-part black and white photographic series based on the narrative from It’s Still Privileged Art. The artists trace their politicalization through staged dance scenes that combine the dance of an Yvonne Rainer with that of contemporary Chinese agit-prop.
